Name: Ginny Weasley
Age: 18
Former House/Bloodline: Gryffindor/pureblood
Date/place of birth: 11 August 1981
Physical features (height, colouring, fashion sense, etc): Ginny stands 5’4 in shoes –the short variety of Weasley. She's 130 pounds, which isn't exactly petite. She’s got muscle on her, thanks to Quidditch and the DA and her busy life working. She puts on weight easily – genetic gift from her mother - and she could very easily get chubby if she isn’t careful. She's got pale skin, a body full of freckles, brown eyes, and Weasley-red hair, worn long. She ties it back at work, likes it loose when she’s off-duty. As to fashion sense: Ginny is casual all the way. Growing up a poor girl among a bunch of poor boys left her sense of fashion seriously underdeveloped, which she’s perfectly happy about. There are much more important things in life than the brand of robe or the colours that are in this season.

Occupation: She's training at St. Mungo's. She's also a serious member of Quango, and when she's done the training at Mungo's she plans to go off wherever Quango needs her most.

Hobbies/what they do in their spare time: Thanks to training at St. Mungo's and working with Quango, Ginny isn't blessed with an overabundance of free time. What time she has she likes to spend out, with people. She strives to keep in close touch with her family, and her old school friends. She loves a pick-up Quidditch game with her brothers or Harry. She also, though she keeps this hidden, has a fondness for certain ridiculously girly things. She adores a soak in a bubble bath, she’s embarrassingly fond of Celestina Warbuck and the rest of that flowery music her mum listened to all the time while she was growing up.

Wand: 9 inches, birch and dragon heartstring (short but powerful, very apropos if you ask Gin)
Boggart: Tom Riddle’s journal, giant and opened like a mouth ready to swallow her whole.
Patronus(if applicable): A falcon. Falcons are a very free animal, very impatient and in need of stimulation, and she is always on the lookout for a challenge.

Likes: Justice, Quidditch, her family, Harry Potter, her friends, helping people, music, getting dirty, flirting, challenging people, being treated like a lady every now and then, being treated like one of the blokes more often than that, having a laugh, playing pranks, proving herself, knocking self-important people off pedastals.
Dislikes: Whinging, martyrdom, randy idiot boys who can't talk to her without trying to have it off with her, smugness, priviledged rich gits, anyone who hurts her family in any way no matter how small, housework, cooking, other female stereotypes, being told no.
Personality in three words: Daring, brash, warm
Where they are/where they want to be: Ginny is a student, and she hates it. It's necessary to complete her training at Mungo's, fine, but bloody hell if she didn't just leave seven years of homework behind. Where she wants to be is out in the field, helping the people who need her most. Using her gifts to help those who wouldn't otherwise get help.

Father: Arthur Weasley
Mother: Molly Weasley
Siblings: See a redhead bloke in England, chances are they're a brother of hers. Bill, Charlie, Percy, George (and Fred still counts), and Ron.
Friends: Everyone she ever knew, really. Especially Harry, Hermione, Neville, and Luna.
Spouse/Lover: She's on-again off-again with Harry, currently off again. Beyond him, she has yet to meet a man who can keep up with her.
Sexual orientation/what attracts them: Heterosexual. Ginny is instantly drawn to any man who isn't a preening, randy, obvious git. She loves a challenge, flirtation with some wit in it. She won't stand being told what to do, so a secure man who is willing to stand back and let her work is a must. Though pushovers are just as annoying as tyrants. She wants to feel appreciated, wanted, without any limitations being placed on her.
Children - have any? want any?: None, and Ginny doesn't want any. Not until she's old and settled and people don't need her the way they so now.

Backstory/History - aka, where they have been between DH and Ascendant, and beyond: She was the youngest of a houseful of children, but Ginny got off lucky – she was a girl. She escaped the battles Ron had to fight, the constantly comparing herself to older siblings. She's never been judged on quite the same standards, thanks to her gender. She was the last kid her parents popped out, and she was rather indulgently treated by the boys in the family, along with her loving parents. Ginny was raised without much pain or difficulty, and she knew exactly who she was before she ever went off to school.

Well, she did have a few issues once she was out in the world, things growing up surrounded by family couldn't have prepared her for. Like Harry. Pretty bloody Harry Potter with his brilliant scar and his glasses and his politeness. Ginny was sort of bowled over by him, and it took a while for that to fade. She also figured out once she got to Hogwarts that she was actually poor, from a poor family. It wasn't something she had noticed before. Luckily she was centered enough not to care about the snide rich Slytherin girls and their giggles, or the endless exhausting talk in her own dorm about Witch Weekly and what colour shoes go with what handbag. She waved all that away, and was charming and fun enough that she wasn't cast out for it. Most people got on with Ginny.

During her second year there are still large holes in her memory, times when someone else was piloting the ship. What she remembers of Tom and the diary is jumbled, and more confused every year that passes. She knows she did some dark things, can even remember doing some of them. But she feels disconnected from the whole thing. Her strongest – and worst – memory from that time is being rescued by Harry. Harry, with the basilisk wound, dying because she got her stupid self brainwashed. Sometimes, especially in sleep, she hears the soft whispers of a strange, charming voice. But her second year only served to make her a stronger person. More resolved to stay informed, to battle instead of succumbing.

As she grew older she lost the haze of "love" that made Harry infallible to her, and instead of writing him horrible poetry she started talking back to him. She was honest and up front, especially when he was being a self-pitying git. Somehow that made him fancy her, and for a while she managed to get her hands on him. It was good, too. He was the rare person who became more a hero the more she got to know him. Still, he had that martyr act going strong, and he finally broke up with her over some ridiculous rubbish about Voldemort and the war.

His loss, she told herself rather vehemently. She wouldn't be weakened by it, anyway. She had a war to fight. And her sixth year she did fight it, without her brother and Harry and Hermione. With only Neville to stand by her as they got the DA going, ducked the Death Eaters roaming the halls, withstood punishment and scorn. She was there for the last of it, the last battle. She stood her ground, even after Harry's 'death'.

Ginny had never been very set on what she wanted to do with her life. She thought about playing Quidditch, maybe, but after the war the game seemed more insubstantial than ever. During the hols after the war, before she went back to Hogwarts for her seventh year, it wasn't the fighting that stuck in her mind the most. It was the helping. Every time one of the DA came to the Room of Requirement with fresh wounds. Every time Pomfrey needed help in the hospital ward. Ginny looked into it her seventh year, and it became clear that as strong as she considered herself, she was more satisfied by healing than by fighting. So after Hogwarts she trained at St. Mungo's.

Since then she's kept busy with her training program. She has only recently begun taking patients and doing practical, hands-on things, which she adores. She loves helping people, though not in any sweet, mild-mannered way. She'll bully patients into health if that's what it takes. She's a mother bear and anyone who's hurt or in pain or suffering is her cub.
She is also actively involved in Quango. She's stuck in place thanks to her lessons, but she dreams of going off to horrible, damaged parts of the wizarding world and bringing her talent to people who need her. She wants to get her hands dirty, and she's getting a bit impatient in her training.

How the war affected them: Hogwarts during the first of the term, when the DA was deserted to fight on their own, changed her life. She had a frustrating few months, terrified about her family, Harry and Ron and Hermione off in the wild somewhere, and the kids around her who couldn't fight back against Snape and the bastard Death Eaters roaming the halls. Those months solidified in her the person she wanted to be.

The last battle changed her life in more ways than one. Harry's 'death', for the little while she thought it was real, devastated her. The idea that he had truly suffered for so long just to die before the end was hideous, and something inside of her grew just a little bit less trusting of fate and justice. Even him coming back alive didn't heal that.

That last battle also took her brother from her, her brilliant, vibrant and wonderful Fred. It was a blow as bad as losing Harry – one of her family was dead. Fred, and how could she trust in justice if George was left without an ear and a brother both? It hardened her a bit, at the same time it made her determined not to take her family for granted for another minute. Even Percy.

Ginny also developed an almost overpowering desire for equality. If justice isn't real, she figures, she'll make her own. If people have to be bullied into accepting Muggleborns and werewlves and anyone else who deserves accepting, she'll bloody well bully them.
